Hug Your Baby
Understanding a baby’s behavior boost parent’s confidence and baby’s development.
Jan Tedder, BSN, IBCLC, FNP, is the creator and president of HUG Your Baby. After decades of working as a nurse practitioner and lactation consultant with expectant and new parents, she researched and developed HUG Your Baby. This work has been presented at hundreds of national and international conferences and is available worldwide in HUG Your Baby online courses. HUG Your Baby research and literature reviews are published in peer-reviewed journals. Birth, parenting and lactation professionals in 50 countries and tribal nations have responded positively to the vision, tools and resources this award-winning program provides.
Mission
Based on child development, lactation and pediatric literature, HUG Your Baby’s trainings and resources help parents (and the professionals who serve them) understand a baby’s body language in order to prevent and solve problems around eating, sleeping, crying, and parent-child interaction and to promote breastfeeding duration.
