Mission

Our mission is to create environments in which lactation is the norm and human milk is available to all infants and children. We aim to support and empower families by working inclusively to remove barriers to breastfeeding/chestfeeding. Through advocacy, capacity-building, and training, we champion lactation-friendly policies with a special focus on supporting those most affected by systemic barriers, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, rural, and other underserved communities. Together, we’re nurturing a healthier, more inclusive New Mexico.
